３．Tom Borshuk氏とTeddy Harris博士に師事し、ジャズビアノと編曲を学ぶ
４．Richard Household氏、Brainerd Blyden Taylor氏に師事し、コーラス指揮を学ぶ５．Wayne Jeffrey氏に師事し、器楽指揮、バロック、クラシック、ロマンティック音楽を学ぶ(3) 活動内容
CD “Freedom”をスタジオ制作、Wolf Johnson氏（Driftersのメンバー）のためのスタジオ録音、キリスト教音楽（スペイン語および英語）をスタジオ録音し、ＣＤ制作KmartおよびChryslerのコマーシャル音楽制作、演劇”Best of Times“のサウンドトラック盤制作、Stirling Festival劇場での”Top Hat Black Tie And Tails”の音楽監督
2000年より、絲管打座プロデューサーとして、CD"On the Bridge"を共同制作

Ian Mcgregor Smith is an artist of amazing diversity. Whether it be a solo piano/vocal engagement or a chorus of voices combined with a 7 piece band, Ian can be found playing,conducting or composing in a myriad of musical styles from R and B to Opera and Jazz to Gospel
His music can be heard on the airwaves on various radio stations around the globe including the internet station www.smoothjazz.com. To highlight his musical depth, in the late 80's and early 90's, Ian held the position of Music Director and Resident Composer at the University's School of Dramatic Art in Windsor Ontario

. Following this time he performed with such Jazz greats as Bob James and has made a mark internationally with his vocal group The Spectrum Chorus.
Commercially, Ian has produced jingles for K-Mart and Chrysler, and has written original musical scores for a variety of film and live theatre projects. He has produced CD's for numerous artists including Shikandaza's "On The Bridge" Presently, Ian involves himself in the executive side of the music business
